Network Architect
Required Security Clearance minimum level: Secret (able to obtain Top Secret/SCI)
Required Certifications:  CompTIA Security+CE and Environmental Cert (Linux or MCSE)
 
The Network Architect leads the design and development of network software system applications and/or tools for new and installed programs. The candidate will drive the project schedule, delivery, and oversee the activities of engineers on the team. He/she will interface with the customer daily, make recommendations, and provide updates. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership to operational teams, software engineering teams, and key stakeholders.
  • Work with stakeholders to develop and present innovative solutions for high assurance systems
  • Organize a team around the architecture and actively contribute to planning activities and implementation of new Network interfaces and tools
  • Investigate new technologies and solve problems
  • Provide direction to integrate and test software and systems
  • Provide direction to migrate solutions to various secured network environments

  • Exercise creative and innovative thinking to advance business performance
  • Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customers changing business needs|
  • Understand the high assurance processing business domain to anticipate likely architecture changes
  • Support numerous programs simultaneously
  • Rapidly absorb new knowledge bases and incorporate them into new and existing architectures
  • Support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind the effort at the on behalf of our defense contractor client
  • Follow industry trends and developments to ensure services are consistent with or superior to, industry best practices
 
Candidates should be experienced with the following software development skills:
  • Architecting a complete software system
  • Software/Systems architecture
  • Software requirements analysis
  • C/C++ embedded application software development in a Linux environment
  • Embedded operating systems including RTOS and partitioned OS environments
  • Highly experience with implementation of Network performance systems and tools using a variety of vendor products.  Significant plus would be particular understanding of the Netcool environment.
  • Safety critical software systems
  • Understand and support diverse software development life-cycles, including waterfall and agile models
  • Proficient in the use of debugging tool
