Strategic Business Systems, Inc. (SBS) is hiring a Senior Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager Engineer in Washington, DC.  An active Top Secret clearance is required.
 
Roles and Responsibilities:  
  • Assists in the design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise systems for software deployment and configuration (SCCM), system monitoring (SCOM), and other capabilities.
  • Supports upgrades using the Current Branch methodology to include console and client upgrades for SCCM.
  • Supports Operating System Deployment tasks, collection management, management of Compliance Settings and Client agents - to include the use of Group Policy, WSUS, Client Push, etc.; knowledge and application of software updates and application deployments.
  • Identifies and carries out complex tasks that leverage a strong working knowledge of SQL server, PowerShell scripting, networking, and Windows Server Operating Systems background and Active Directory.
  • Assesses and implements new features of the enterprise applications and creates documentation such as SOPs, infrastructure diagrams, and security artifacts.
  • Possesses knowledge of complex lab environments and VM infrastructures.
  • Provides technical and analytical guidance on enterprise capabilities stakeholders through clear and concise communications.
  • Provides technical leadership and Supports transition of on-premise capabilities to cloud-based enterprise services
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 9 years of experience
  • Experience engineering/supporting Windows systems on enterprises with up to 5,000 endpoints
  • Experience supporting security hardened Windows Server OS and applications against industry/DoD/Other Govt guidelines
  • Experience supporting systems that follow the Risk Management Framework (RMF) for Accreditation and Authorization (A&A)
  • Position requires a Top Secret Clearance
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ​Agency or Department on-site customer experience (e.g. DOS)
  • 2+ years hands-on experience with Microsoft SCCM
  • Experience with software packaging, distribution, and deployments
  • Experience engineering/supporting systems on enterprises with 20,000+ endpoints
  • Experience supporting environments with IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) based processes and/or ISO 20K certified
  • Experience with cloud-based services (SaaS and IaaS) used by Government customers
  • Industry standard training and/or certifications; DOS specific training and/or certifications
